Dating age range formula

22 May

I was having breakfast the other day with a friend who was giving dating advice to his son.

For purposes of his anonymity, I am going to call just call him "Son." My friend said, "Son, you're 18 years old, so I am going to tell you how you date.

Figuring out the high range of 46 requires knowing the math of a 46 year old.

If math is something you are not comfortable with, visit this website and use the calculator.

For example, a 30-year old can date anyone from 22 to 46, according to the formula.

To get 22, you divide 30 in half, leaving you with 15 remaining, and then add seven more to arrive at 22.

Now there may need to be a secondary function for those marrying the geriatric for inheritance purposes, but I don't think that's a factor in the 1/2 7 formula.

As per "Half Your Age Plus 7" relationship rule, the age of the younger person you date should not be less than half the age of the older person plus 7 years; and the age of the older person you date should not be more than your age minus 7 and doubled it.

When we see younger older relationships, such as the late Anna Nicole Smith married to someone who could have been her grandfather, or the older Demi Moore married to the younger Ashton Kutcher, we often think to ourselves "it must be for sex or money." But are those the only things about younger older relationships?

Or is there more to it, something that defies logic at a glance, yet works so well for the couple?

People who've reached 110 can pretty much do whatever the fuck they want, provided they aren't breaking any laws outside of drug ones. As in, determining if the older party is acting in a potentially predatory manor based on the naivety of the younger.

If someone 110 wants to continue doing coke every day, I'm not going to stop it. So the fact that the range gets pretty large starting somewhere around is based on people past their mid-30s having enough life under their belt to make good decisions for themselves.
